Thomas Luettgen is a German photographer with works in the priority areas Landscape, People, and the self-developed style crossThing. He lives and works in Leverkusen (Cologne Area).
Growing up in the Rhineland, he successfully completed training as a lithographer and went off shortly after in the advertising industry by itself. 20 years as creative director of one of the top advertising agencies in Germany and later as the proficiency of 32 years professional photography his work and life photographer.
In 2006, Thomas Luettgen started with the first edition of his calendar Namibia, which is published annually in a limited edition of 1,000 pieces.
Since 2009, Thomas Luettgen thrilled public and the media with his project crossThing. CrossThing is the visual connection between landscape structures and their inhabitants. The transience of the traditions and lifestyles of the Himba people inspired Thomas Luettgen. His works are characterized by a deep connection with the countries of southern Africa and its people and animals.
